Bare-root

Elderberries are the plant that stared my love for propagating plants. I was hooked after the first time I stuck an elderberry cutting in soil and watched it grow into its own plant. Now i grow 8 named varieties and a few wild selections. Local Ecotype (Wild)

Cuttings selected from vigorous and productive wild seedling elderberries in and around Middlesex County, MA. Mother plants of these cuttings now grow on location at Elderberry Acres for testing and cutting production. Our local elderberries should be well adapted for growers who are local and probably most of North East.

Nova

Selected in 1946 at the AgCanada Research Station in Kentville, Nova Scotia and later released in 1959. Nova is an open-pollinated seedling of the popular Adams No. 2 elderberry.

Ripening in early August, Nova delivers large, sweet, juicy fruit that shines in wine, juice, jam, and jelly. Its generous clusters provide a flavorful and versatile harvest ideal for a wide range of kitchen creations.
